Earlier this month the Verge reported that Epic has bought the developer of Rocket League, Psyonix. Few details were given then, but now after a couple weeks of this announcement, more information has been released. Here is what we found…
- The PC version of Rocket League will come to the Epic Games store in late 2019
- Rocket League remains available for new purchasers on Steam, * long-term plans will be announced in the future*
- Users will be able to play Rocket League on Steam with all of the content they’ve previously purchased, same as always
- Financial terms of what Epic paid to acquire Psyonix, were not made public.
There is no explicit statement about it being removed from stream, but in the article by The Verge, there is quite a few hints. Quite a few people are pissed because of the impact on workshop maps, Steam Controller, Linux and Mac users.
